The concept of Aeons refers to a way of organizing historical events and influences according to the system of the Precession of the Equinoxes. Each Aeon lasts for 2160 years, and follows the signs of the Zodiac in reverse order. The Aeons mark different epochs in human history and advancement, as well as different incarnations of the gods which are influenced by the ruling sign of the Aeon. Pronounced ee-ohn.
