The Mysteries are often connected to a series of spiritual entities who act as Teachers, Guides, Guardians and Initiators to those same Mysteries. The Mysteries are always kept secret from the profane, who will certainly misinterpret, and therefore corrupt, the Mysteries. Often these Mysteries are concerned with the Underworld.
