Ba

BaAn Egyptian word signifying the personality or person-hood of an individual. The Ba is often imagined as a human-headed bird. The concept of the Ba includes what we Ophidians call the Persona complex, which is the manifested mundane consciousness or mind of the incarnated Khu (Spirit). The Ba rests within the Sa (the subtle body of the Spirit, also called the Soul), and is communicated to most immediately by the Ab (Waters) and the Ka (Fires). See also Membra Animae.
