Called the Ba in Egyptian cosmology, the Persona is the base and simple personality, body, behavioral and emotional complexes, and mind of an individual – none of which are divine or immortal. In short, the transitory parts of an individual which perish upon death, or are left behind as a Shade. The Persona has no higher Will of its own, and therefore must work to know and accomplish the Will of its Spirit. In this way, the Persona is the primary tool of the Spirit to accomplish its Will in the material world. See also Membra Animae.
