Heka

HekaThe Ancient Egyptian word for Magick, literally meaning the manifestation or activation (He) of the vital essence of the Spirit (Ka). Therefore Magick is the act of calling down the Spirit into the body. All other acts attributed to Magick, but which do not include the Spirit in this way, are merely acts of sorcery. The body possesses tremendous powers when the Spirit predominates. The compliment of Heka is Natura. Natura defines the Principles by which Heka is manifest. See also Hekat, Hekate, Manifestation.
