First and foremost, this term refers to the light of the Moon at Midnight, and all
of the powers contained therein. Therefore, by extension, it is also the light which
shines in the blackness of the
Underworld, and the light held aloft by the Torchbearers who illuminate its depths such as Hekate and Helena.
In addition to these considerations, the
Midnight Sun may also refer to the analogous energies of Sirius, or the mythology of the hidden Sun within the
Earth, or a certain suppressed nearby brown dwarf star which is called Enki by the
spirits, or the Black Star
itself. There is not one Midnight
Sun, there are many. And they all have a connection to the Underworld.
